About the Water Section Wherever people live and spend time, whether in a large city or a rural area, there is a need for infrastructure for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater. WSP's Water Section offers a complete range of consulting services in these areas. Our consultants have comprehensive expertise from overarching investigations in early stages to detailed technical solutions in pipeline and process technology. Our services also include operation and maintenance issues, water supply economics, stormwater and flood investigations, modeling of natural waterways, planning issues, as well as legal and water organization matters.

With our 180 consultants in 22 offices across the country, we are a strong player and dare to call ourselves specialists in water management. Our national section actively works with technology development, resource allocation, and knowledge transfer to ensure that both the working environment for employees and delivery to clients maintain top quality. Water issues are involved in all major community projects today, and in the future, climate adaptation issues will become even more relevant. Challenges that we at WSP see as having an important advisory role in solving together with our clients.

About the Position In the role of designer, you will work on assignments within water and wastewater design. As a water designer, your main task is to prepare design documents for new and renovation of water supply networks. Design work is carried out in various stages, from feasibility studies to construction documents.

Examples of tasks:

• Create drawings in CAD (Civil 3D)
• Work with technical descriptions according to AMA Construction
• Dimensioning of water supply networks, quantity measurement
• Collaboration with other technical areas

There are good opportunities for development within the technical track or towards a role as project manager.

To help you find sustainable and feasible technical solutions, you have experienced colleagues in water design within the department. We provide you with the opportunity to work independently as well as the support you need.

Your immediate manager is good at creating a safe environment where one dares to make mistakes, ask questions, and share thoughts, coaching you forward. We have created an environment where employees trust each other and help each other with various issues. Good structure and clarity exist in the section so that one feels they can influence both the operations and their own situation.

Your Profile We believe that you who are applying for the role of designer have 3+ years of experience in water design and a post-secondary education with a relevant focus.

We would like you to be proficient in CAD software and preferably have experience in design using Civil 3D, as this is one of the software we use in our projects. It is advantageous if you have experience with various software for calculating and dimensioning different systems, as well as preparing technical descriptions with quantity lists in AMA.

It is important to us that you want to work and develop in the consulting role, and therefore qualities such as humility and business acumen are appreciated. To thrive with us, we believe that you are a social and self-driven person who appreciates a varied everyday life. Since our deliveries are mainly in Swedish, it is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
